Bio-remodelling injectables

This skin remodelling treatment is the newest advancement in the cosmetic industry and uses the highest concentration of HA of any treatment available on the market.

Burnside Cosmetic are proud to now offer these Bio-Remodelling Injections, produced in Italy, they are made from next generation HA and are clinically designed to remodel the very core of your skin tissue, with the aim of preventing ageing and sagging.

The injections are used with a hyaluronic formula which is injected directly into the area being treated, slowly attracting water into the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating skin cells to produce collagen and elastin. These injections take 10-20 minutes, with little to no downtime. Skin Bio-Remodellling initially consists of 2-3 treatments approximately one month apart, followed by a single treatment every 6-12 months to maintain results. The areas we can treat are the face, neck, décolletage, knees, elbows, hands, and stomach.

What’s different about Bio-remodelling?

It is an injectable skin treatment which produces a refreshed, plumped yet natural and ‘not done’ look. This treatment is new to Australia but has been available and in high demand in Europe for a number of years. It is made of a highly stabilised pure carbohydrate substance that is naturally present in the skin. Its unique manufacturing process leads to a product with the consistency of honey. This bio-remodelling injectable can be used in young patients who are keen on prevention and rejuvenation, which can slow down the ageing processes in the skin. It is also perfect for patients with visible sun damage who can already see ageing effects on their skin, and for more mature patients that wish for a rejuvenated, refreshed and natural look.

Are bio-remodelling injections the same as facial fillers?

Despite both being made of HA, bio-remodelling injections are not ‘fillers’ as they do not add facial volume. Fillers are made from (chemically) cross-linked HA that gives them their gel-like properties and are designed to fill and create volume in the areas which have been injected. Dermal fillers are injected much deeper than the outer layers of the skin whereas Bio-remodelling injections are injected directly into the skin. Bio-remodelling injections are made of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid and are stabilised using a heat process. They are injected into various skin points at a superficial level to avoid filling or creating volume in one specific area. After injection, they spread over a large surface area and stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin.

What are the benefits of having bio-remodelling?

Benefits of having bio-remodelling injections include:

  • Stimulates the elastin production and collagen production
  • Improves skin laxity, firmness and elasticity
  • HA hydrates skin from the inside to improve skin texture and tone
  • Minimally invasive treatment
  • Suitable for most people
  • Regular use will not add to facial volume and make you look over-filled

Who are bio-remodelling injections suitable for?

This anti-ageing treatment is suitable for anyone who has noticed mild wrinkles, dull skin, loss of elasticity, hydration and skin laxity. Genetics and lifestyle factors do contribute when this occurs, however changes to their skin will be noticed from the majority of people from around the age of 30 years old. Bio-remodelling injections are an excellent way to address signs of premature ageing, skin crepiness and hydration.

This treatment is not recommended for people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have skin infections at the treatment site, or if you have an allergy to hyaluronic. It is also advised to wait two weeks after receiving any vaccination.

What are the risks and side effects associated with bio-remodelling injectables?

Bio-remodelling injections are clinically and scientifically established in reducing ageing of skin. It is important to note that, like all medical procedures, there can be risks, even if they are rare.

Risks may include;

  • Swelling and redness at the injection site.
  • Persistent lumps lasting greater than 24 hours
  • Skin infection – although rare when performed with a clean injection technique
  • Vascular occlusion – the depth of injection sites used for bio-remodelling injections makes the risk of a vascular occlusion extremely rare and to date there have been no reported vascular occlusions.

Skin bio-remodelling FAQs

How do skin bio-remodelling injections work?

This proprietary product is injected across five points in the skin of the face or neck and spreads across the entire area in a matter of hours. Following this there is stimulation of fibroblasts within the skin to produce normal, healthy collagen and elastin. The net effect of which is to smooth and plump the entire skin surface.

When will I see results?

Patients often will see a visible result in the days following the procedure, but results are generally visible 2-3 weeks after the first treatment, with optimum results 2-3 weeks after the third treatment. Because the product stimulates your body’s own collagen and elastin, results will continue to improve over time.

Is the procedure painful?

Skin Bio-Remodelling injections are a very comfortable procedure, with most patients reporting only mild discomfort. They do not require any pain relief. However, topical numbing can be applied if required.
